Cyclist, 18, in life-threatening condition after collision on A21 Sevenoaks Road in Chelsfield

A teenage cyclist remains in a critical condition in hospital after a crash with a car.

It happened at 9.24am on Saturday on the A21 Sevenoaks Road in Chelsfield, Bromley.

The 18-year-old has been taken to hospital and is said to have life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed in both directions between Rushmore Hill (Pratts Bottom) and the M25 (Hewitts Roundabout).

A Met Police spokesman confirmed there had been no arrests and inquiries continue to establish the circumstances:

A spokesman said on Sunday: "Both the driver and cyclist were taken to hospital for treatment.

“The cyclist, a man aged in late teens, sustained life threatening injuries. He remains in hospital.

“The driver of the car, a man aged in his 60s, sustained no injuries as a result of the collision. A road closure was put in place along Sevenoaks Road while officers dealt with the incident."
