Unbeaten Charlton claimed an impressive 3-2 win over Championship favourites Derby at the Valley on Tuesday night.

George Tucudean finished Jordan Cousins' cross to put the Addicks in front after 11 minutes.

Steve McClaren's side levelled just after the half-hour when Jamie Ward found the top corner from the edge of the box, giving debutant keeper Nick Pope no chance.

Charlton regained the lead seconds before half-time with Yoni Buyens scoring a penalty following a foul on Tucudean by Richard Keogh.

The Addicks went 3-1 up in the 78th minute when Igor Vetokele headed home a Lawrie Wilson cross.

A scruffy goal from Ward gave Derby hope with five minutes left but Bob Peeters' men held on and sit fourth in the early Championship table.
