Man charged after doors at Sainsbury's in Deal are damaged

A man has been charged after the automatic doors at a supermarket were broken.

Police were called to Sainsbury's in Deal just after 2am yesterday following reports a man was damaging the doors at the store in West Street.

Following an arrest at the scene and inquiries by Dover's Victim Based Crime Team, Christopher Perry has been charged with one count of criminal damage.

The 25-year-old, from Dover, has been bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Thursday, May 11.
