It is thought the pair had gone into businesses pretending to advertise their business as they walked around the office for items to take.

A CCTV image has now been released of two men they believe can help their inquiries.

Inspector Steve Kent, of Maidstone's Community Safety Unit, said: "While the two people in the image are wearing face masks, we believe somebody may recognising them from their clothing.

"I would urge anybody who can assist our investigation to contact the appeal line."

One Maidstone revealed they had been told a few business around the High Street and Royal Star Arcade had been contacted by the men.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/237245/21.
