Everything Everything is set for the first Medway Town and Gown 10k run which takes place on Sunday.
Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the event, which has been organised by the national charity Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, in association with Medway Council.
There is still time to sign up and you can join in on the day – the organisers will be happy to see you whether you run, crawl or walk it.

Among those backing the race are the Hussey family from Hempstead (pictured). Luke, eight, suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a muscle-wasting condition. His parents Paul and Julie are urging people to get involved in the event.
The run will begin at 10am from the Great Lines at Gillingham, heading from Dock Road into the Historic Dockyard on to St Mary’s Island and then looping back to the finish.

If you haven't yet registered but want to take part, it's best to get there for 9am. The race HQ is on the bottom of Great Lines, parking off Marborough Road.

Marshalls will show the way and then walk along Sally Port Gardens. Runners registering need to go to the Muscular Dystrophy marquee, and there a team will provide forms and pens.

Leave your bags at the start under secure manning and then it's time for the off.

There will be prizes for the first, second and third placed woman and man.

The first man home is expected to cross the finishing line in around 35 minutes with the first women in around 38 minutes.

The junior race due to take place at the same time has been cancelled.
