Holy Cow - Car salesman goes for gold

A car salesman and former TA soldier is training to run a marathon for wounded soldiers - dressed as a cow.

Peter Bambling, 27, of Bromley Close, Lordswood, decided to run the 26.2 mile Beachy Head Marathon for the Help for Heroes charity campaign on October 25 ,when a close friend he served with was injured in Afghanistan.

He said:“It's not some strange fetish of mine.

“I went to a friend’s stag party recently and, believe it or not, he was dressed as a cow which I thought was totally bizarre.

“Then I thought again, and realised that a cow costume might inspire more marathon sponsorship - so I bought one for £17.”

Peter has already inspired pledges totalling £1,303 in sponsorship and hopes to raise at least £2,000 with his marathon run.

Anybody wishing to sponsor him is asked to click on his website using the link below or telephone him on 0777 898 6411.
