Second Winter Gardens date for JLS

JLS - coming to the Winter Gardens

Demand for tickets for the Margate Winter Gardens show by X Factor finalists JLS has been so great that a second date has been booked.

There are just a few seats remaining for the Saturday January 30 show at the seaside venue, so promoters have announced a second show date on Friday, January 29.
The band wowed crowds at their concert at Quex Park, Birchington, in July when they supported American pop sensation The Pussycat Dolls.
A festival spokesman said: “From their commitment to detail and the obvious passion for what they do, there is a lot more still to come from JLS. It is apparent that they will soon have outgrown the smaller venues and possibly much larger arenas beckon, but as some kind of a consolation to Kent fans, Margate can say it played part in the beginning of it all.”
JLS were formed in the summer of 2007. Founder member Oritsé had put up signs online and around his University of North London campus. He had been into the guitar shops on Charing Cross Road in London’s West End and begun a tireless trawl through MySpace pages to scout people he believed could turn his boyband supergroup dream into life. He knew exactly what he wanted.
From the outset it was clear that JLS were not usual X Factor fodder. A year’s worth of disciplined rehearsal had turned them into something special.

They took their X Factor path one step at a time, from auditions to boot camp to the judges houses right up to the live show knock-out rounds and eventually the final. He added: “We just had to do what we do and do it well. We just had to stay focused throughout the whole thing. We weren’t sitting around and letting things happen to us. I looked after our MySpace page 24/7. We managed ourselves.”
They are all delighted with their experience on the show. Marvin added: “That sort of thing opens up so many doors for you that you didn’t even know existed before. Without that platform it would’ve taken us much longer to get to where we are now.”

Tickets for the seated concert are £26.50 and there are no concessions. Contact 01843-292795 / 296111 or visitwww.gigantic.com/www.seetickets.com. for more details. The JLS website iswww.jlsofficial.co.uk
